Our Story

Cornerstone Property Management of Roanoke is a residential property management company proudly serving the Roanoke Valley with integrity, purpose, and a foundation rooted in faith. What began as a family-owned operation has grown into a trusted name in property management, guided by the same principles and values that defined it from the very start.

Where It All Began

In 2009, Cornerstone Property Management of Roanoke was established as a family-owned and operated company dedicated to managing the founding family's own privately held rental properties. As the family continued to expand their real estate portfolio, the scope of managing those properties grew alongside it, with rental units spread increasingly throughout the Roanoke Valley.

By the early 2020s, the volume of properties under management had reached a point where additional support was essential to sustain the high standard of service the family had always demanded of themselves. After much prayer and careful deliberation, the decision was made to transition leadership of Cornerstone to experienced property managers who shared the same core principles and values as the founding family.

A New Chapter, The Same Foundation

In 2025, Cornerstone Property Management of Roanoke welcomed new ownership, and with it, a renewed commitment to the mission and spirit on which the company was built. The foundational scripture that anchored Cornerstone at its inception continues to guide every decision made today:

With Christ at the center of everything we do, Cornerstone Property Management of Roanoke continues to operate with a servant's heart, seeking to honor the Lord in how we care for our property owners and residents alike.

Our current ownership team brings a combined 30 or more years of experience in residential property investment and property management, ensuring that every owner and resident we serve benefits from deep industry knowledge and a genuine commitment to excellence.

Doug Price

Director of Operations

Doug is a co-owner of Cornerstone Property Management. With more than a decade in the greater Roanoke Valley real estate market as an investor, fix-and-flipper, and property acquisitions, Doug brings a background in construction management and business operations that shapes how Cornerstone runs and serves every property in its portfolio.

Will McNeill

Business Development

Will is a co-owner of Cornerstone Property Management who leads business development, bringing a background in product support and customer service along with hands-on experience self-managing a small portfolio of rentals. Will is excited to work with strategic partners who share these values and want to win together.

Jason DeBord

Director of Portfolio Management

Jason is the principal broker of Keystone Realty and co-owner of Cornerstone Property Management, which both serve the greater Roanoke Valley. With three decades of experience in the construction and real estate industry, Jason brings deep, hands-on expertise to every owner and client he serves.

Gabriel Kohnen

Portfolio Manager

Gabriel is a portfolio manager with Cornerstone Property Management, bringing over 12 years of property management experience and a background in construction. Committed to the highest standards of integrity, he prioritizes clear communication, building trust, and maximizing long-term value for owners and residents alike.

Dylan Benke

Director of Accounting

Dylan brings four years of financial experience to Cornerstone Property Management, including three years in property management accounting, and one year in local banking. He focuses on accuracy and organization across the financial operations of the company to ensure owners receive clear and reliable reporting.
